I have a 2009 Honda 500 Forman and had been tapping my tired starter for some time to get her rolling over.
I finally purchased a new starter from Niche and installed it. When I go to start it shorts out the entire system and it resets itself after about 30 seconds. Note everything lights up and all the fuses are good. How can I test for a short in the system? Is it the solenoid ? Should I have continuity from the positive of the starter to the casing of the starter because it does. Any thoughts please? Thanx in advance.
