That doesn't look like a bad winch. That looks like the winch from Cabela's with a different name on it. I think is worth a try.

it might be worth a try, i dont know if there is a sams club around where you live but im pretty sure they sell winchs and they are arounf $50 so maby you could try them.

Robb its the one I just bought and will be mounting this coming week. There are a few others on the site that have them also and there are a few posts about them.
i have the 3000# Gorilla winch on my 450s and it does great....no problems yet...
