Howdy Folks

I'm new here & thought I'd ask everyones input on my toy for this summers riding. Its bone stock as of now & did some research seeing if there were any recalls on my vin# so far so good on all that.

I've got an order up for a few extra mods & would like some input on how well you think these will compliment my 4 wheeler & maybe any extras to go along with to help.

4-ITP type 5 wheels & mudlite XTR's in 26" 9" front & 11" rear

aluminum products skidplate package

detroitgearless locker for the front diff

hmf utility pipe in yellow

dyno jet kit & UNI filter

I already have the NGK iridiumIX plug & a spare.

A few items I'm on hold about is a winch, shocks & some form of clutch kit since I dont really know who all the manufacturers are for shocks for our bikes & which winch is the best bang for the buck as I have had warn winches on other 4 wheelers & had many problems with the motor, relay & switches due to mud & water.

Th clutch kit I'm not really sure about since do any add more clutch material, just stiffer springs or both?

Thanks for any input on all this!

Cheers

If it was me i would go with 27's on the bike and upgrade the Uni to a K&N. Also on the pipe i would go with a polished one or anything like that because the colors fade from what i hear and they also get stained by the mud. On the clutch kit i think all it does is replace the factory springs with stouter ones. Not sure on the winch ive never had any problems out of Warn.
yeah i agree..... run 27's all the way around and get the k&n.....on the pipe...he's right about the yellow pipe....it won't be yellow for long....
looks like you got a pretty good plan together. i would get something besides the mudlites. if you're getting a dgl obviously you'll be in the mud. mudlites are a decent mudtire at best. i agree get a taller tire.
I thought about taller tires but would hate to take the power loss with the taller final gearing that they would give.

So yall would recommend doing away with the yellow & just going polished - sounds good & makes good sense as I wondered about the durability of the paint.

I've had a many a K&N filter on cars trucks diesels etc... & I just dont trust them so thats why I went with foam as I was hoping it would fend water off better than a cotton fiber style filter.
Well your probabally going to put a snorkel on it so if you do it right you wont have to worry about any water. If your getting a dgl it sounds like you ride in the mud or you want to ride in the mud so why not go with a bigger tire. If you dont go with a bigger tire than I dont see a need in the dgl.

yup. and more aggressive! with a dgl it wont be a good trail bike.
since most of my trail riding is done in 2wd - I figured I would use the locker for the good lil sippi holes that come along & still be able to enjoy the easy steering of 2wd most of the time.

Thanks folks!
