is there mud and water or jus trails?
Robb,
There are alot of trails (some very easy and some VERY extreme!), some good rocky rivers, and a few mud pits for playing in. The views from atop of those mountains are spectacular!!
Aint nothin' like a good hard packed bottom. Make water riding alot funner..
That looks like some great riding! How many miles do you guys put on the bikes in a weekend?
The last time we went, we rode Friday for about 150 miles, on Sat we rode around 260 miles. There are 72,000 acres up there and we haven't seen nearly a 1/3 of it. Matthew from ATV Outfitters is going with us this time, and he will be able to show us some trails and sites we haven't seen yet.

Mudlord, looks like that first pic was taken up on the Carryville flats, am I right? I live about 45 minutes from windrock and was just up there Sunday. I hope we get some rain soon because it was so dry even the rattlesnakes was carryin' water jugs on there backs! There is one spot I know of that's right off the dirt road that has some deeeep mud holes. Seen one of them swallow a Brute Force 750 whole. Took 2 winches to get him out. Get you a map and head up trail 22 which is across from the parking lot. When you get to the end go left on the gravel road, go 100 yards and the mud pit is on your right. Also the playground that's half way up P1 (paved road 1) on the left has some good holes too.
If I can get away from work that Sat. 12th I may try and meet you all. Are you camping or staying in a hotel?
Bigvick,
Yep, that is the Careyville Flats, man that is a fun place to hang out for a bit. Thanks, for the tips to where the mud holes are. I think we visited a few of those time we rode. I got a map the first time we rode up there, and tried my best to remember and highlight the ones that we rode. It would be great if you can come and ride with us. We will be camping at Windrock Campground, we will be arriving there on the 10th and leaving on the 13th. So far, we've got a definite head count of 6 with 2 others as maybes. Also, we might be meeting up with some other local folks that we met last year. I will shoot you a PM with my cell phone number, so you can give me a shout if you think you might be able to make it.

Russ
Mudlord, sent a pm back. Sounds good to me. There were some awesome mud holes up on trail 30, but they have been thru with the dozer and cleaned up the trails, filled some of them in. There were still some left but dried up. We need rain! I might try and do a rain dance after I get home today.
Hey BigVick,
Whats your status for next week???

Russ
Its a 3.5 to 4 hr drive from here (Iam 1.5 hrs West Columbia). Where is Lake City? If you are up for going we could meet up somewhere, and you could follow us, this will be my 3rd trip there.

Russ
I just Googled mapped Lake City, it looks like it might be about a 6 hr drive for you. Let me know if you think you can make it!
