I have had my warn 3.0 under water several times even running it underwater a few times, never a problem with it. They are a lil more $ to get in the beginning BUT yo get what you pay for. The warn 3.0 IIRC is the only sealed winch out there. I have YET to even clean or touch my winch in the 2yrs Ive had it. The only thing I have EVER done was to pull off the steel cable and put on the plasma rope. THATS IT. Still works like new.

Same for my Warn 3000. I have really abused it bad. It just doesn't quit. I have even pulled out half ton p/u before at mud nats on the highline.
Dirtyrider,, look in the Rincon post.. I was asking the same question about 6 months ago. Alot of votes for the Gorilla, and Milemarker.. None seemed to have problems with deep water riding. I went and purchased the Gorilla #3000 and have had it under more that above water.. No probs yet. The Gorilla #3000 was $79 plus $26 shipping.. Good deal for a #3000.. That encludes all but the mounting plate which I already had.
How much does it weigh? My front end is already so heavy with the edls on the front that i dont want to put to much more wieght........also where did you find that at?
Ebay...under ATV Winches... It don't weigh that much.. Apparently alot lighter that the competators. The ebay site wll give you the weight, speed of winch under different loads, size, .. ect and compare them to others..
i have the gorilla 300# winch as well off ebay and it works great...
ron show some pics i might get one also.........glad you you got your bike fixed.
Thanx Vaughn... I loved the ride even better with the lift off, but still miss the height of it. And I will get pics out soon..
I hav a 2500 on the front of mine & i hav run it in the water a bunch of times & its still runnin just fine
Mine gave me problems on my rubicon till I got a new front bumper and relocated it, now I have no problems check out my bumper and mount. its from xtreme-products.com
the thing I like most about where mine sits now, is you can see it, don't have to worry about the wire getting wrapped around itself , and when in mud its easy to climb out to, attached is another pic showing the front of it as it mounted to old rubi, the foreman's allow the winch to sit up higher in the frame since my radiator is where it is located on the formans
