Christmas is coming and I have convinced my fiance that a winch for the Foreman would be a good X-Mas present. Looking at some of the other topics in this forum,it looks like the Warn 3000# is the one to go with. I live on the coast of MD and do a lot of H20 riding so I want it sealed. Is there a special order number for a sealed Warn winch? Should I go with synthetic or steel cable and why??? The last question I have is where have you all found that has the cheapest prices for the Warn 3000# (Waterproof and probably with the synth cable). Any help is appreciated!!!

I have a 3.0 warn, its about 3 years old, has been great with no problems. All the 3.0 warns are sealed. I just replaced the galv cable this year to Synthetic rope. I got mine from a local shop, cant remember what I paid for it. I think around $400
I got mine before they ever offered the Venom and Gorilla winches on ebay. This might be something for you to chech out and save alittle money for something else. I have install a couple of the winches and so far so good. They have worked great.

I have a gorilla and have had it under water a few times and it still works great.
