Im purchasing a HMF utility, uni filter and wanted to know what jet to run and also what jet to run when i add a snorkle snd what clip on both does it need to be on?

Also is it better to use a stock jet than a kit? And how do i purchase stock jets, are they specific for atvs or are the honda carbs universal, just wanna install all of this myself and have no ever really work on atvs just cars and heavy diesel equip.

When doing the air/fuel mixtures screw, you screw it all the way in and slowly move it back out, im so sorry for so many ?'s but im knew to all of this and take alot of pride in be able to do all my own work, not to mention the money i save by doing it myself

Last thing is do you have to change the carb setting when you run a quiet core?

Jennifer & i run OEM 135 jets. I have a HMF & she has a Supertrapp. The
air/fuel mixture is about 2.5 to 3 complete turns out. On the stock needle,
i put the clip on the last notch to raise it all the way up with one little washer
below it & that is about it. Hope this helps.
you dont have any pics of this do you?
Any pictures of what? The jet, or the needle? If it is of those, sorry, i do not.
Your running a 135 oem factory jet on the richest setting correct? I dont have a snorkle as of yet so i may just wait and do it all at once so that it only has to be tuned once, thanks

you run a 135 with pipe, filter, and snorkle correct?

That is right. Pipe, K&N Filter, & Snorkel. With those 3 things & gettin' it
jetted right, you will really wake up your Foreman.
Is there a good website with good instructions on how to properly jet a carb? I cant really seem to find one with good pics and instructions. Im looking because im just gonna order a factory jet and will not have any instructions so any help and pics would be greatly appreciated
I didn't find a good website either. I got the advise of Robb, Truegrit, Eurobro,
DirtyForeman, & some others & put all of that together & got it right. You
can do it. If i can, anyone can.
That was very informative. Thanks for postin' that.

Definately informative, thanks.
how do i figure out what jet is which? is there anywhere on the net that i could look it up for my bike? or maybe in my manual or somethin,
i havent ever really messed with carbs before

go by your dealer and ask for a oem 135 main jet for a foreman 450. move your clip 1 notch down from stock and turn your mixture screw 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 turns out. it sounds more difficult then it really is.
Would you still run a 135 oem jet with no snorkle just a pipe and filter? If not what size would you go with? Im thinking of adding a dial a jet to it all
thats the setup im running with stock intake. no snorkel
So yall are saying i can run 135 oem jet with a pipe and filter, and when i add my snorkle i just need to move the clip and the screw some? Im thinking of also adding dial a jet system

i wouldnt mess with a dial a jet. its not worth it imo. when you add a snorkel, you will most likely have to up the main jet to a 138-142 oem jet. the snorkit that you can buy for the foreman only recomends to move the clip down some.
