Hi. This is my first post here, and I am an admitted newcomer to the world of four wheelers. I am looking at purchasing a four-wheeler to be used lightly on and around our property. We probably wouldn't use it much for work around the property, but would take it on some short (8-10 mile) weekend rides. I have been looking at a Rubicon that is going up for auction. The basic specs are here:
Description: 2005 Honda 500 Rubicon 4X4 Four Wheeler
Odometer: Indicates 13489 hours
Features: 4X4, Automatic/Electric Shift, new tires.
Comments: Starts and Runs
I would describe the condition of the Rubicon as average. It has obviously seen some work, but appears well cared for. I am not looking for a beauty queen though.
It seems to me that the hours are incredibly high compared to other used Rubicons I have found. Would it be a foolish purchase? Based on the limited info I have given and assuming it is in good working condition at the moment, what would be a reasonable selling price for this unit? If more information is needed please feel free to let me know and i will gather what I can.
