Stock tires are worn out on the wife's Recon.I'd like to stick to something close to stock size.

I'm afraid Gator's would be too aggressive for trail riding. Most of the trails are gravel/sand and logging roads are hardwood with some mud.

I just went through this with my sons Recon. Nobody (worthwhile) makes 22in for front and rear that fit the oddball size rims that the Recon has. I went with 25 in Mudlites and put a 2 inch HL lift kit on it. I didn't notice any difference in speed believe it or not. This thing hangs with my Foreman now and it looks freakin sick to boot.
BY the way, GBC is no longer making Gators from what I found out so the only Gators that you'll find is what people already have in stock.

You might try putting your stock tires on it . The stock tires are not hard to turn, plus you will gain a little G/C and not have to worry about the odd wheel size.

Dirt Devils come in 22 inch.

Here is a link for cheap tires as well.

They only come in 22's for the rear form what I found. Matter of fact thats what I had on our Recon before switching to the Mudlites.
Keep in mind that they're called mud "lites" for a reason. The 25 in mudlites are almost the same weight as the 22 in dirt devils.
