The bulbs are dim halogens at 35W (each maybe?), but they are embarrassingly dim for a brand-new ride. I tried buying replacement bulbs, and they were similar but different. I went back and checked and, yeah - they're not for my year. Thought I had checked that but apparently not.

I've been scouring the web and I can't find a size designation for them. Are they really a one-off thing? Riding around in the dark is life on our little farm so I'd sure like to just replace the bulbs.

Step 1. Figure out the actual bulb size
Step 2. Find the matching bulbs on the interwebs
Step 3. ???
Step 4. PROFIT!

Okay, so the vibe I am getting is that:
A. The bulbs are wholly unique because that makes sense with Honda also making motorcycles and cars. DUMB
B. I just need to lightly mod bulbs that would fit, and epoxy/caulk them to the stock reflectors. Worst case I screw it up and throw money at a fab company marketing replacements at $300 a pop.
C. Heck darnit.

 

I kept the lower stock, upgraded the pod to L.E.D. and added a 9" 72W light bar. Lots of light.
