i called honda and the prices were
$380--18 months
$440--30 months
$540--42 months
I bought one when i first bought my Foreman. After about
a year & a half with out a single problem, i sold it back to
them. Usually if anything is gonna go wrong, it will go wrong
with in the first year. If it will ease your mind, go for it. Also
since it is the first year of the new model, it probably wouldn't
be a bad idea.

How much did they give you back?? All of it, or was it pro-rated? I'm thinking about cashing in too because if I took my bike in w/ the tires, lift and snorkle they would probably just laugh.
i say buy it if your hard on your bike i have already used mine. Wish i bought it for my dads rancher i would have used his also.

They gave me back a few hundred dollars. I can't remember
the exact amount.

I was told all of it if I have no claims on mine.
I think i got back most of it if not all of it. I can't remember.
If you go hard on your bike, I would go with the extended warranty.
But I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH A HONDA!!
when i got my 06 about 2 months ago the had a deal..i got a 18month warranty for $90...
That is not a bad deal there. Usually if something will go wrong,
it will go wrong within the first year or so.
I just bought a 05 Foreman and got the 18 month extended warrant for $69
BUY IT I HAD ONE 01 RANCHER BROKE A REAR END PAID FOR IT. JUST BOUGHT A 06 FOREMAN, BOUGHT IT
I saw an ad on TV yeterday advertising the $69 warranty.
In the owner's manual it said's somewhere that if you go in water or mud over 10" the warranty is Voilded. That is what honda tolded my friend when he needed a topend rebuild.

If you have a 2005 honda foreman

Before you go buying the extended warrant look in the owner's manual on page 88, 223, 224 and ask honda if you go into water that is more than 10" is the extended warranty still good or not.
Its easier to get forgivness than permission.
They only know what you tell them, right travis, his seat was water logged from the "rain" . If it gets in the motor and ruins it then they might figure it out, but other than that they don't have a clue just make sure that you take the big tires and snorkel off before you take it in.
