I just finished installing the 424 and long travel kit from Perfex.
I love them, can't say enough how much of a difference that these two make. It turned my machine from a workhorse into a real trail rider. The suspension is soo much softer now and plus I get a lift out of it as well. The 424 also increases the the fun factor of the bike. If you have an older machine like mine I would recomend these. I paid $120.00 for the Perfex and about $315.00 CDN after exchange for the 424 off a dealer in the USA off of e-bay witch is about $100.00 cheaper than buying it in Canada.

So how much of a lift did you get??? Im debating ordering this. I just ordered the high lifter 2 in lift today, but if I can get close to that with the Perfex, I think I woulld rather have that.

The 4-2-4 is great too. It makes the bike a whole lot more fun on the trails. easier to turn, turns sharper, plus gives you better acceleration and more speed since you dont have the front end taking power.

So you think you got at least a 1.5 inch lift with that? I guess I need to send back this highlifter lift kit. And get the Perfex instead.

I have a question about the Perfex LTK.

The kit soften's the suspension right, and at the same time adds lift? Well, the factor being that it softens the suspension, wouldn't that mean that during traversing ruts and stuff, that the shocks will go down more causing fender rub in the case that you went with bigger tires due to the lift?

What I'm basically saying is, you can't go with bigger tires with the Perfex LTK because with the suspension softened, there is more travel therefore in rut and rock crossings, the suspension will enable more up and down wheel movement therefore fender rub can happen? I mean, it gives roughly 1.5" of lift but that extra lift heigh isn't there when the shocks are compressed.

I don't know, that's something I always wondered. Is that true?

the perfex kt "softems" the ride by changing the angles at which the shocks are mounted.....at the same time, by changing the angle, as well as relocating to mounting points to a higher location it lifts the quad as well....therefore doing both at once...allowing the use of bigger tires...so on...also the shock it self can only compress so far to begin with, so a rubbing, or interference problem wouldnt be an issue...think of it as a lever on a pivot point....move the pivot point and one end will get higher in the air, and also be able to move easier....basically your fears are nothing to be worried about cause you have the wrong impression of how it all works....hope that helped...

Have you guys that have installed the perfix kit seen how much of an angle the front cv boots get put at? This is the only reason I won't install a lift kit is due to fear of jacking up my front CV's...
I don't have any experience with this, but I just think that as long as you didn't go over about a 26" tire you'll still be okay as long as it's not too aggressive. But it's mainly your guys with the 27 and 28" Vamps, Outlaws, etc.... those aggressive heavy tires that are popping CV's.

Really, that's kind of why I don't want to go with a Highlifter lift, because it raises ~2". I'd rather go with something more along the lines of a Moose lift kit which raises ~1-1.5". I know it doesn't seem like that much of a difference but I'd feel more comfortable knowing my CV's aren't at as much of an angle as with a HL lift. I probably will never go with bigger than a 27" tire anyways, so the Moose lift will give me just a little extra to prevent scrubbing that would be caused by the 27's.

Another kit to look into is the Perfex lift offered by Hebco Distributing. Not sure how much lift it has, I believe it's around 1.5-2" but it's cheaper ($70) and it's supposed to be really strong.

Just my opinion with that, and a few options you could take.

Just so you know I run 27" mudlites on mine and haven't had a problem with the perfex. Stock the C.V. axles sit very close to straight, Now they have an angle to them but nothing more than any other machine. Even my dad's RINCON axles have some angle to them, especially the rear ones.
