just basic metric tools needed. It replaces the front drive shalf, which has a cable operated pull handle to unlock and lock it in. It is a great mod, you will love how much of a difference it makes. I have the warn 424 on both my bikes. only down fall is it requires some cleaning from time to time if playing in the mud alot.

The paper works shows the handle mounted to the front fender, which requires you to drill two 1/4" holes. You can also mount it to the front rack using u-bolts. some mount it to the handle bars, which ever is easier for u. It will take you around 2 hrs for the install.
Its the best Mod you can do for your quad. You wont believe the difference. Dont wait, and dont think about it anymore. Get it asap.
I just installed mine....you'll love it! Like power steering! I can do donuts in the dirt and snow, now!

Lessons learned in the install....you'll understand when you get to those parts of the install:

Put the anti-rotation U-bolt on the vertical rather than horizontal frame peice. Mine has the bolt hanging down a bit since I bolted to the horizontal. Not a big enough concern for me to tear back into it to fix but since you will be in there.......you can do it right.

Be VERY careful with mounting the control. When I drilled, I barely nicked the gas tank. Also, on mine, I mounted per the picture and some literature pictures and my headlight bar guard hit it. I pulled of the guard and hammered it flat (it's really a tube) where it interfered and ground down the bracket to clear everything. Then, repainted. Not noticable. It beat the heck outta re-drilling the holes or making a custom bracket.

Good luck!
