just buy it the model specific plate and you should be fine.

I tried one on my 05 and it was too wide, hit the fender braces. Not sure on the 04 rubi, but I do know it is wider than the Warn 2.5ci. I had to send it back and exchange it for the older 3000XT Venom.
**** well I have already ordered it......we shall see if it will fit an 04 rubi
