Valve adjustment procedures Rincon all

Ok, I have the service manual, same as your pics, but mine before adjustment is too small(narrow). I guess the alignment of the t mark could be a touch off , but looks straight across to me. I got this bike with 1400 miles, now has 2200 miles, and I thought I could hear some noise from the valves. Would being too narrow cause a little noise? I was expecting the gap to be too big , not small. Should I go ahead and put them at 15mm and 33mm (they are probably now at 13mm and 31mm or so) Also, at what intervals should the valves be adjusted?

Not trying to butt in and I am no expert by no means but a Honda Certified Mech (a good buddy of mine) just did my first valve check on my 2009 Rincon and he was saying that to tight can cause just as much damage if not more so I would think that you need to set them to specs. Don't take my word for it but i was just kicking it out there. Good luck
By the way mine were about a 1/4 turn to loose on the exhaust side and now the bike is a little quieter now, glad I did it.
Not trying to butt in and I am no expert by no means but a Honda Certified Mech (a good buddy of mine) just did my first valve check on my 2009 Rincon and he was saying that to tight can cause just as much damage if not more so I would think that you need to set them to specs. Don't take my word for it but i was just kicking it out there. Good luck

the manual says .006 intake and .013 exhaust i would go with the manual.
