I also sunk my foreman after a hurricane in 1999 when it only had about 100 miles on it. I turned it off as soon as the airbox went under water and pushed it back to my house (about 2 mile because I was by myself). I changed the air filter, spark plug, oil filter, and ran about 8 quarts of cheap oil through the engine until it drained out nothing but oil. After running the bike about 30 minutes, I changed the oil again for good measure. I have not had any problems since and now have over 2000 miles on it. I guess I got lucky also.
