what he said
I think i would take those elbows off and just run em about 8" high cuz you hardly will ever go that deep cuz mostof the time it will just float!
man no offense but yall people cant just come out and say what you want to say. yall go off and be smart a**es and then say it. just say what you wanna say and get it over with, jgb just came out and said what he wanted to.

LOL Until it flips... Trust me I seen me do it...
i'll express my opinion the way i feel it should be expressed.

i dont like the set up he came up with b/c it wouldn't work for me. it may be the perfect set up for him.

dont try to come on here and limit what i can and cant say.
but good try Al Sharpton.

Thats is true but once it flips if it goes all the way its still gunna get water in it either way! I have come very close to flipping myself and it aint fun!
nappy headed hoes!!!

that's what youguys are!!!

hahaha

that setup is cool but will break off in the long run...takes up too much stuff and has too many joints...

just my opinion...

i was thinking of putting a tee connection right in the middle of my rack and putting two small ones, one on each side...so that my center light would be more effective at night....(snorkels in the way)
but if i zip tie it to the racks i don't think it would last.

I prefer one snorkel simply because you have a side to bail to incase you flip. I just bail to my left and the snorkel always stays out the water.
i like one simply b/c it looks better and still gets the job done.
i think the double is cool, but i don't like how the elbows are...

can you run them under the racks? and strap them to the racks?

like this.....
wow guys! sorry my creation is not up to everyones standards, but that's not what it was intended for. In fact they work great! No issues with airflow, these dual 2" risers offer my five plenty of air to scorch despite the ells and tees. Have tried the straight up [email protected], way out on each corner of the fender, but was constantly avoiding getting them ripped off by limbs or vines. (well thats how I do.) As for a dangerous roll-over, not yet but just in case I didnt glue tees to allow them to break away forward or rear! And no, they're not useless by not being glued. Have had the tees submerged for several minutes and never a drop in the box!!!! And by the way they're not held up with zip ties, used steel clamps made for 2" pipe and secured with rivets.
bobbyd, thanks for the post and pics, its a diffrent way of doing it, and it looks mean. i'm looking for ideas right now, i am wanting to run 2 2in pipes out of the air box, stock inlet and then cut another one. i've seen it done of 450's. but yet to see pics or any one say they have done it on a 500. the single that i have right now has a screw on and off section so when i flip it it woudlnt snap off.

i think its cool, and i did see someone with it like that before...just saying that if the elbows were lower possibly under the racks they would be protected very well from everything.

If you haven't flipped then you're not riding hard enough.
sometimes after about 4 or 5 hours of ridin.... my cooler is empty.. b/c i have drank everything in it... therefore, manuvering my bike isnt as easy as it was at the beggining of the ride if you know what i mean. so sometimes we do flip b/c of this reason, along with others...
no one ever plans on flipping, it just happens!!!!
