Tune your carb, my O2 sensor set up.

well i have alot of engine work and bolt on's so i couldn't get the carb where i needed it , so i made this O2 sensor/gauge for under $84 . some sell for $200+ in stores. it might look like a hard project but its easier than a clutch kit to put on . this kit is also removable and is only for tuning the carb, and it can be put on any car or bike with a weld-on O2 bung and a hole in the exhaust pipe. After tuning is done a brass plug is put in the O2 bung.

with this kit you dont even need a gauge, a volt meter will work but is hard to read at speed but still works fine. the o2 sensor sends a signal of 0volts - 1volts DC . 0v = lean .5v = perfect 1v = rich .

Cool Idea.

I don't know much about EFI on ATV's motorcycles or snowmobiles. Do they use a feed back system like this? Would it be possible to retro fit EFI onto an older ATV?
i think you can put a efi system on .but finding a single cylinder efi system cheap would be hard . so i just stuck to the carb.

ive never owned or work on a efi atv but u do need some feedback.
nice setup vet, so how far off was your jetting?
i was way lean so far , im working on reading the o2 sensor and i put a 140 DJ main (up from a 136DJ) / and oem #50 pilot (up from a #40) 2 1/2 turns out. i got rid of the red header pipe but im still in the tuning stage.
Nice set up. I need to order some pilot jets. Which ones should I get mine is really lean also.
well a #48 is in a 450r , and a rincon has a #50. i am still tuning mine so dont know which is better yet so i bought both.
a stock motor with a pipe should use the stock pilot jet still .i have a cam and head work thats why im jumping jets. what kind of problems are you seeing in your atv.

I have an egt gauge on mine. Just putting around it is over 1400 deg. and at idle it is 1200 degres. I have pipe and k&N with a higher compression pistion. Oh the inch and a half snorkel also.
ya , i dont know what mine egt was but the header was orange at idle and the spark plug was white as a ghost and looked like a new plug after 50 miles or so ,no brown at all
