I have always been advised to disconnect the negative lead to trickle charge the battery while in the machine. Was told it can damage the
bike electronics if you do not.

When I trickle charge my Foreman's battery do I need to disconnect the cables first or can they be left on the battery while charging without doing damage? Thanks.

i have heard the same thing, i think if you unhook the negitive you will be fine.
