I worked on one of the old 250ex's one time that had the same problem, it ended up being the dog's on the gears were wore down, but it is crazy to think that this would already happen to you, I would be argueing with honda if I was you.

I dont know, could be from droping it in gear, but, I only did that a few times, and Mullets been doing it for years. The guys at the dealership thought it wasnt assembled correctly from the factory so who knows.Any idea of how this happened? Just curious, as Honda builds some darn tough machines.
