I was wondering how loud is the tractor pipe compared to stock or aftermarket slip-ons.

from what I understand they are pretty obnoxious...............
i thought mine sounded good, it wasnt too loud for hunting but when i gunned it you could hear it. if i had to compare it to something it was a little louder than a hmf with the quiet core in it.

their pritty loud i have the fo-14 but if your not wide open their not bad
i just put one on mine today. its pritty loud but not obnoxious... i had a supertrapp on before and i got a lot more bottom end out of it and about 7 mph's.... for 25 bucks at tractor supply its the best mod ive put on
i ments got a lot more power out of the fo-14, supertrapp isnt all the people make it out to be. if u want it to be louder and more power get the fo-14, cheap and easy

i had a supertrapp before my tractor muffler and i also think that the trackor muffler gave me alot more low end, with the right jetting a tractor muffler can really light up a 4wheeler.

Did the Supertrapp give you any noticeable gains?
the supertrapp did give me more power but not as much low end as the tractor muffler. i think the supertrapp gave me more even power and just not on low end. the supertrapp is nice but there are other pipes out there for the same price that are a little better.

i agree with mad mudder...i did notice a good difference when i put the supertrapp on but i also put a jet kit on, but it lacked in the low end. with the fo-14 i noticed a big difference in the low end and a little better throttle response and a few more mph's. its not too loud but when u get on it it sounds more like a race bike with a big gunn exhaust on it... but if u dont care about a little bit of noise then i think its the best 25 bucks ive ever spent... it takes a little bit of time to fab it up to fit on but its well worth it
I am really interested in the fabrication part of this project. Someone needs to do one and post pics in the How-To section.
The fab part wasnt that difficult. u just gotta know how to weld. the pipe is 1-3/4 on the inlet and the exhaust on the atv is 1in. the fo-14 has 4 slits cut into it already so i just cut them about 1.5in deeper and then took my time and hammered it into a circle to where it was snug on the exhaust pipe, then took it off again, welded up all the seams (inside and out), the slipped it back on and welded it on the pipe. then u have to make up a bracket. i found an old piece of scrap metal and just bent it to where it was snug on the muffler and on the frame and just welded it to both and its solid
i did the same think with the mounting bracket on mine and it worked great, just make sure its fits snug or it will rattle. also you do not have to weld the exhaust on if you dont want too, when i did mine i went all out and went clear to the head pipe and just bolted it on the only reason i did that is because i had all the things in my shop to make the pipe. i have a couple pics of what the exhaust looked like on the bike in the pics in my sig under rubicon pics.

i welded the bracket to where the bracket of the supertrapp bolted up to the frame. its on there good, no rattles or anything. when u put that exhaust snorkle on did u loose any bottom end and did it quiet it down at all?

c what size jets did yall use i just installed mine.
camp hasnt loged onto the forum since 2007 man .......
yeah i figured i'd give it a shot and maybe someone else uses the muffler could tell me
go to your honda dealership and pick up the next 3 sizes up jets over stock and start with 1 jet install it ..adjust the carb and run it for 5 miles. then pull the spark plug and see if its a nice brown . if not repeat untill you get it right .....stock jet is #158
ok do only have to replace the main jet or do you do the pilot jet and do you have to shim the needle
