im getting new tires and was wandering if 28x12's or 10's on back im going with laws anyone know how these will perform in heavy mud my bike is jetted and piped and i also have a uni filter will i be losing alot of power and should i step down to 27's? thanks fer yer input

well, since i am guessing you have a 4man500s than you should be able to turn 28x12.5s in the rear with no problem...it may slightly bog in the thickest situations but my freind has a 99' 450 and it spins 28x12.5s rear and 28x9.5 front without a problem. i would not get the 28x10.5s because they are not as tall as the other 28s and do not have as good of a sidewall tread as the 28x12.5s. hope this helps
I HAVE 28X10'S ALL THE WAY AROUND AND DON'T HAVE PROBLEM AT ALL. ALL ALSO HAVE A CLUTCH KIT TO HELP OUT IN THE MUD. I AIRED MY TIRES UP TO ABOUT 14PSI AND I HAVE ABOUT 11INCHES OF GROUND CLEARANCE. I'LL HANG WITH MOST.

nice looking bike im going for 28x12 with 1''or maybe 1.5 spacers just wandering how they will fit and how well i can turn them with the mods i have
