28.5's??? is that a new size? NO, its not normal to leak around the rims! something made you go flat, but you gotta clean the bead so that it seats and seals...then you can find what made you go flat...puncture, too low of pressure to begin with...clean the beads, so that they'll seat, and then start from there.

 

Yep, Mudding and regular trail riding will cause you to get alot of grit down inbetween your tires and rims. Ya just need to clean them out really good and that should solve your problem.

 

they also have some type of rubber for problem rims (I think it's just tacky-liquid rubber) that will help with leaking problems...AFTER they are cleaned good.

also you might want to have them add around 10lb's of air and let them sit in the sun for 3-4-5 hours.....does it help? according to ALL of the local tire shops here-Yes!

but does it really Help-unknown, we always do it....just don't forget about it ive been told it can stretch the tires over a long period of time--weeks/months.

if that dont work just flex-seal the whole dam* thing! hahaha jk that would be a horable idea lol

 

if your rim looks like the ones on my old recon you have dents around the edge of the rim and you might have gouged the rim enough where it is leaking but i would fallow the advice so far and take the tire off the rim and clean everything good

 

i used it on my audio tube lol its not the most durable stuff tho cause i sprayed a layer on the bottom of it so my racks wouldnt chip the paint off the pvc and my racks ate threw the flex-seal and the layer of paint

 

I was always told to clean the bead really well then air them up to 15psi or so and ride it around for awhile before airing them back down. Don't know if it helps or not though, lol.
