Just got my Thunder Products Tiny Tach in the mail tonight and it took me about an hour and a half to install it. I ordered it from Design Technology Inc. It is pretty neat and I am impressed with it, but I am upset with myself for not ordering the one with the hour meter reset.
It started to count the minutes as soon as I started it up. It is not like a racing tach, it takes a reading every 2 seconds. It gives you a pretty good idea of where the RPM's are at when you are riding around and at idle and stuff like that. Here are a few pics of it.

How good does it work? Looks like it could be a very handy device. Does it look to be water friendly? Need all my goodies water friendly
I like is so far, and it seems to be very water friendly, it seems to be completely sealed up from what I can tell. I had a bunch of mud and water on it from a monday evening ride and washed it off and had no problems. It is not to be confussed with a racing tach of any kind, it takes a reading every 2 to 2 1/2 seconds so it jumps around, but it gives you a good idea of where the rpms are at in the engine. I seen it hit 7000 rpm one time in first gear trying to get out of a hole I was almost stuck in. I would highly recommend the reset model, it lets you reset the minutes and hours after each ride, I got the one that does not reset.
