Thinking about buying this Rincon

Good trail machines. Bad mud bikes.


Good price if it's a well cared for, easy 300 miles and you're looking for a trail riding machine.


If you want a mud bike the Rincon is not what you want.

I'd get it her average speed was about 5.5mph....

I’ll know more in a wk or so. She is going to pick it up in Missouri. The quad belongs to her sister. The only thing that kinda scares me is the transmission on the rincon. I’ve been doing some research on them. I wish Honda would get off their Butts and redesign the rincon. Give us at least a 700 cc engine 1000 cc would be nice. Power steering and The dct transmission.

I second the trail machne and NOT made for larger tires OR mud, or hard work
its a trail rig, for long days and lots of miles

if you plan to tow heavy, or work it hard, or again add large tires, this is NOT the atv to buy!

A friend on mine has a Rincon and it's been a TOUGH bike. I've been shocked at how well it's held up to the abuse he's put it through.


He runs stock tires on it, and he's sunk it 3-4 times. It finally started smoking so I tore it down and rebuilt it. It was a MAJOR PITA to work on, but I finally got it back together and running good. He rode it 3-4 times and it stopped pulling. I didn't have time to dig into it again so he took it to the dealership. They put a new oil pump on it ($1K parts and labor) and it runs like a champ again.


I much prefer the Rincon transmission to the DCT.

I would strongly consider it. The Rincon’s strength is its well tuned suspension and damping, and long term reliability if given a modicum of care.

Biggest drawback to me is lack of a low range. Mainly I’d like engine hold back to be effective at lower speed.

I’ve used mine to plow, with no problems, so they can do some work and the torque converter will take quite a bit of punishment.

Still, the thing is in its element as a nice handling trail quad that really soaks up harsh terrain. Sometimes I don’t realize how rough a stretch of trail is until I try to ride a different machine at the same speed.

I have a 2015 rubicon dct with power steering. I use it around the place for work sometimes. But I’m more of a trail rider than anything. The rubicon does both very well. I’ve always wanted a rincon but didn’t quite have the money at the time. I’m Just waiting on a response from her when she picks it up. My rubicon has over 3000 miles on it and no trouble. All I do is keep it Serviced.
