Hey guys my synthetic rope's end is not like my wire cables end. The rope has an eyelet on the end and my cable just has an end that you stick in the spool and tighten a screw to hold it into place. How am I going to get it to work or am I?

Mine was like that also, I just cut the end off and put some heatshink on it to help keep the end together. make sure you have some sharp pliers, because its tough to cut.

One way to cut the winch rope is to put it in a vise and hack saw it off level with the vise jaws. Then take a propane torch to the new cut end and melt it together.

The rope goes thru the hole and wraps around a little metal puck then back thru the hole.

That is called "whipping". The heat shrink method is a little cleaner looking, but the whipping is a little better as it fuses the strands of rope together.
