swing arm bearings

Is there some trick to getting the swing arm bolts off. I have a bad bearing in there I would like to change. Are the outer nuts like lock nuts and are they left or right hand threads?
thanks for the help,

a 17 mm allen socket is needed to take the swing arm bolts out. there is another tool made to remove the locknut that is on the left side, but it's not needed. When putting it back together a punch and a hammer will work to lock the locknut back in place. left to loosen and right to tighten
hey do u have to replace the swingarm bearings if u take the swing arm off, and do i have to mess with the lock nut cause i jus took both bolts off and didnt touch the lock nut
if they are still in good shape I wouldn't change them. but I would clean are regrease them before sticking the swingarm back in. If the locknut is still set, just make sure it tight once the bolt is reinstalled.
