stuck in gear

longtime foreman owner 1st post. have a 2000 450s was plowing this weekend. got stuck in gear,managed to get into 4th now cant get out. nothing-- tried rocking(alot) just wont come out- shift lever isnt slipping visably. what can I try never had problem like this before any help thanks in advance

you should have a little tool to shift in your tool box it will shift on the motor atleast the ranchers do but the only reason for that is just to get home. it sounds like the angle sencer is bad. you can check for a code but i do not know how to do that on a 450 but someone should on here.

He has a 450S not ES so he is shifting from the motor. I have heard about the angle sensor making the reverse go out, but I have never heard about it sticking it in gear. If it is the S you should be able to hold the shifter between gears and get it started by rolling down a hill or getting a pull, but I'm not positive if that will help.
