so my 2006 rubicon 500 es steering is all of a sudden stiff. i rode it about a week ago and had it parked outside and it would steer fine then. went to ride it today and the steering is very hard to turn like tires ar flat. i jacked it off the ground and it is easy to turn but harder than normal. it has been raining a few days of the week but would that effect it? what could it be? its not locked in 4wd.

Hi Owen,

Take a look at this thread - do what I recommended...

Cheers.

The bushings that hold the steering stem can get stiff, particularly the upper one if left out in the weather. A good spray lube may cure it. If it is particularly gummed, you may want to disassemble. I like to use white lithium, as it seems less prone to attract grit.
