Speedometer not working..

Hey my speedometer is not working.. My neutral and reverse lights work but its not showing me my speed, time or any of that stuff. I was wondering if there was some kind of fuse that may have blown or do I just need to buy a new one.. Cause if they are that expensive I don't need one that bad... But I was wondering if it may just be something simple to fix..

Its a 2000 Honda Foreman 450ES....
More than likely, your speed sensor is out. My '01 Foreman's speed sensor went out. It in turn made my ES stop working. I could ride but once I rode for a minute or so, the ES would start blinking and nothing would work. I replaced my speed sensor and everything works fine.

On the left rear of the eng/trans assembly above the shift shaft. Has three wires pointing straight up and the harness goes across to the right rear wheel well by the rectifier, where it plugs in. Can be gotten from partzilla pretty quickly.

Forgot, before you replace that, check that the power supply to it is good. Should be 12v between the two outer pins. That power and ground need to be good to get output from the sensor.
