FOR THOSE OF YOU MAKING PERFORMANCE MODIFICATION, BEWARE YOUR NOT EATING THE TOP OF YOU PISTON AWAY.

A LEAN CONDITION FIRST OF ALL WILL MAKE YOUR MOTOR HEAT UP MORE THAN IT USE TO. THE FUEL WILL LITERALLY EXPLODE IN THE CYLINDER INSTEAD OF BURNING (MOTOR PING CAN SOMETIMES BE HEARD).

I DO PLUG CHOPS IN MIDRANGE AND AT TOPEND AFTER I'VE DIALED- IN MY CARB JET KIT. I JUST DON'T PULL THE PLUG AND SAY ,COOL ! , WHITISH GR0UND TANG / TAN PORCELAIN,LOOKS GOOD AND STICK IT BACK IN. YOU REALLY HAVE TO LOOK GOOD!

I USE A 10X MAGNIFIER TO LOOK FOR ALUMINUM. JUST RECENTLY WHILE INSTALLING A DYNOJET KIT IN AN O7 500 FOREMAN, I THOUGHT I WAS A LITTLE WEAK ON POWER. DID A PLUG CHOP, PULLED THE PLUG, LOOKED GOOD. BUT THEN I PULLED OUT MY MAGNIFIER TO REALLY LOOK, AND HERE IS ALUMINUM NOT ONLY ON THE PORCELAIN BUT SOME ALSO ON THE GROUND TANG. THIS WAS AFTER I THOUGHT I HAD A GOOD DIAL-IN ON THE CARB.

I ADDED A LITTLE FUEL AT THE PILOT TO RICHEN, DID PLUG CHOP,NO ALUMINUM.

YOU REALLY HAVE TO LOOK UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH YOUR PLUG TO SEE WHAT YOUR MOTOR IS DOING WITH YOUR NEW PERFORMANCE MODS.
