Sorry for the thread on this issue!! I have spent hours reading, hours trying things, but no results. I might be crazy! 2013 Rancher TRX420FE ES

I have a 2013 Rancher TRX420FE ES that is stuck in Reverse, when you push either shift button you hear nothing no clicks nada! I took off the shift motor/gear assembly cleaned and regreased it and tested the motor with my multimeter, it shows resistance it is not open so I figure it is good. I test the angle gear and it shows resistance that changes when the sensor rotating part is rotated.
I have not been able to find any specs for resistance measurements on either the motor or the angel sensor. I don't want to just throw parts at this machine.
Does anyone know the test procedures for the motor or angle gear sensor?

So far I have been able to put 12V to the shift motor and it spins, I don't have a way to test it under load so I am giving it a "Maybe". The angle sensor (basically a potentiometer) does vary resistance when the input is turned. But I have no idea what it is supposed to read.
I have seen a thread on how to take them apart and clean them if water gets inside, but the one I have doesn't look like the same angle sensor.
So just one last time I will install everything and see if it functions properly.
I am open for suggestions!!!
