Now that I think about it, I may go with a "trail" snorkle (shorty snorkle) about handlebar height. Isn't there a way to adjust your carb so you get a little more fuel for your air mixture? I'm new to this, sorry for the questions.

You are welcome, but really the best way is to put a new jet in there, even if its a small step up, that with the needle and mix screw you can tune the entire power band.

Yje stock needle only has one place to put the clip. You will need to order one from dynojet to get adjustability. You can get the entire jet kit for around $55.

To prevent from having to get a whole new set of jets, and spend another $55, could I do something to the snorkle to make the airflow a little more restrictive? I just wasn't wanting to go through the jet kit process util i could afford a new filter and HMF to go with it.

If you were to keep all the piping around 1.5 inches, you shouldnt need to do anything to the carb. and if thats still to much, you can just close off the opening of the snorkel a little. But I think 1.5 piping you should be fine.

The stock needle has five needle settings available for the clip.http://www.triangleatv.com/HN450.pdf Look at the diagram at the end of the instructions.
I would suggest reading the tips page on the Triangle ATV website even if you aren't getting a Snorkit. They can save your butt!
BTW, the Snorkit comes with a standard riser pipe and a shorty riser for shallow riding or hunting.
Good luck!

By far, the tips on the Triangle page are probably some of the best tips and ideas for riding in the deep stuff. Good work!

Thanks for the link, has anybody ever ordered one of those? They claim to have the only snorkal that doesnt look like a plumber built it,yada, yada, yada, but nowhere on the website do they show you an actual clear pic of what it looks like. It also doesnt look like they address all the vent lines either. I dont know but if i am spending over 100$(which i dont mind, i think buying a snorkel kit is like getting a tattoo, you dont want to go cheap or it will cost you in the long run) on a snorkel i just want the most for my money and it looks like the triangle one is it(when/if they make one for my bike). Obviously i am just guessing, maybe somebody could shed a little more light on the subject.

thanks again

I dont know...for a 105 bucks you get this???

I wouldnt waste my money on that. You are looking at 15 bucks tops in parts, and like Deadmullet said, it doesnt appear to do anything for your vent tubes.
* A little off topic * Hey Deadmullet - What are we looking at in your avatar...I stared at it for like 5 minutes, almost looks like an amputated leg or something lol. Does it have to do with your screen name? Chopped up fish or something?

Robb, I figured out his avatar. Maybe this will help lol. It's him I'm guessing sloshing through some black water on a yellow Foreman and all you can see is the front fender and part of his knee.
