Rubicon3303 has a real simple setup on his Rubi, he will chime in and give you a hand, he didnt need to jet.
Im looking to snorkel mine also but prefer to not mess with the jets. Ive had a big enough hassle adjusting them to the KN and HMF i have right now. If i can install one and dont have to mess with the jets ill do it!
do ya'll want to cut holes in the fenders or not and how talk from the rack would you like it
I prefer to NOT cut holes but im not opposed to it AS LONG as i dont have to re-jet! How tall really doesnt matter to me, nothing to extreme as i dont go through water over the bike very much.
Rubicon3303 has The wide bulk-pickup shop vac hose siliconed into his airbox then pulled out in between the tank cover and headlight pod. Then its zip tied to the handle bar. It may not be the best looking one out there, but it works very well.
Im going for a little 'style' also
I was lookin' at Kurts & Randy's Rubicons, & just don't really see how one
could snorkel a Rubicon. That is a real noodle scratcher.
all you need is a shop vac hose take old snorkel out and the shop vac fits right in the stock air box. And when you take off the front end there is a channel the runs up the side of the bike up and around the front then i just pulled it between the gas tank and handle bars. It works wonders ask anyone that rides with me.

hey guys,
thanks for all the replies......i would like to have one of those sweet looking snorkels that come out on the fender and go up like a smoke stack! but i will do what ever!! did you just clamp on the hose? do i need to do anything else?
First take off your seat and the little piece of plastic that covers your pull starter then the piece of plastic off the covers the side of your gas tank (so the only plastic that needs to come off should be black there should be no green plastic off the bike) then take off the stock intake (but leave the hose clap) and go to your local hardware store and ask for six foot of 2in. air hose and a pvc 90% bend 2" (Should be white so i would pick up a can of spray paint your choice of color)and pick a tub of clear silcome and you will need a 2" key hole saw that hooks to you drill there will be two holes that you will need to cut (they are pretty clear were you need to cut) one hole in the fire wall and one hole in the fender (but may sure that they are even and the hose and go straight those both holes and stay straight) then after you have paint you hose pass it into your air box and then run it though the two holes and put the 90% bend on top and then fasten the holes clap from your stock intake to snug the hose clap to the air box and silcome the the air box intake and pull thight throw the fender and add the plastic back and now that the hose is throw your fender if you can weld or know some one that can well take a piece of ree bar and weld it to a piece of plate metal and drill two sets of two holes to fix ubolts. holes for Ubolst and u bolt the holder to the rack right next to snorkle and zip tie it to the holder and if you have any question let me know it wasn't really that hard once you look at it i am 15 and i did it so good luck

How do you snorkel the vent lines right over the carb?
i T'ed mine to gether then just ran a bigger vacum line along the snorkel but up the other side of the handle bars.
