After breaking my back 3 years ago, smooth ride has become pretty important,I am looking for the smoothest tire out there for my '06 trx350fm.

I do want some traction however, something aproximatly as agressive as the kenda bearclaw,or the mudlite.any Ideas?thanx

For a very smooth trail tire that has some mud abilities (about as much as stock) Id look at the big horn radials or some other form of radial tire. Also for a smoother ride look into the perfex long travel suspension kit
how about a tire called lumberjacks. i had the on my old 300 and they did great. Another tire that my dad had was the wooleybogger and they also did great.

I must agree here!! I broke my back in September. I had the Perfex Kit then but with stock tires. I was able to ride on New Years Day and decided then that the Dunlops had to go. I bought the Big Horns in the stock sizes for the Foreman. They are an awesome tire for trail. I can't speak for mud because I don't ride mud. I can say that when I was on the New Years Ride, a buddy of mine had the Maxxis and what mud we went in, he came out slinging it everywhere. But we don't mud like some. We go through what we must and avoid the rest. I hope this helps in your quest for tires.
FYI, ITP Mudlite XTR's were my second choice for tires.
thanx

Thanx for the replies!

I had found mudlite xtr's on the net,but regretably they dont make 25x8x12 and 25x10x11 sizes.but I will look into the other tires mentioned,as well as the suspention upgrade, thanx again.
I have the Mudlights XL's in 26x9x12 all the way around and also have the Perfex, seems like a good combo so far. I ride 85% trails and hard pack dirt roads and very little mud but don't have any problems when i do. The only thing I don't like about the Mudlights is they shimmy on pavement when your driving slow, around 5mph but thats it.

This is the main reason I went with Maxxis.

redhornet, I run 26 inch mudlights, great traction in all conditions, I find
running them soft, makes for a softer ride with good rebound in ruff stuff.
as the original poster said he had a rancher... hwo do you all think 26" mnud lights would do on a rancher?

and btw waht does the perfix ACTUALLY change?
changes the mounting points of both your front and rear shocks, moving them closer to the pivot point. Therefore Increasing the amount of wheel travel and increasing the amout of leverage your wheels and tires have on your springs/shocks, which makes the softer ride.
