dont be scared to go big heck i just bought some mudzilla's in 27 and they fit with no bending the brackets or fenders. they are rough as **** but i put them against anything out there.

Yea,but he want's a trail tire,so the smaller size would be a better choice,NOW,if he DID want a mud tire,he would buy a bigger tire,like they say"When it comes to muddin',bigger is better'

I would go with a 27" tire.
