Smoothest Ridding Trail / Mud Tire

OK,

Its coming time to upgrade the tires, and I'm really looking for a smooth ridding trail mostly and mud tire.

Size is another issue, I don't want it to be too hard on the drive train and it should be to steer.

Recommendations on size and tire would be great, I have a 2006 Foreman with no mods.

Thanks,

Justin

ITP 589's are an excellent mud/trail tire choice.....I have some in the stock tire size on my 06 Foreman and they are the best!
Are the 589's a smooth ridding trail tire? Seems like they would be real choppy
try out the new mud bug radails
I had the 589's and they rode smooth on hard packed.
I thought they were a great all around tire.
what about the Bighorns?
Hey J, hurry up and buy some **** tires so we can go ride this weekend. You've rode mine with the mudlites and didn't like um. I think the XTR's or 589's would be a good tire for you.
Swamplites ride very smooth and do decent in mud as long as it isn't real thick.
Outlaw MST's are sweet. 589's are good too.
Can any body tell me how easy are the MST to turn, and how well do they handle hard pack.
I've been really happy with Dirt Devils in the stock size. They ride really smooth and do O.k. in the mud.I have over 900 miles on them and the tread still looks good. For an all-around trail tire I'd get another set.
Bi/Tri Claws. smooth on the trail and great in the mud. my foreman 450 with no mods turns them just fine.
My Claws were awesome in mud and trailed great. The Bugs I have on now are just as smooth but not as good in mud.

Go Claws or buy my Bugs.........
Mud Bug all the way

Get some mud bugs. I had 26's and got 27's now. Excellent tire.

Not hard to turn, but the do require a bit more than my mud-lites. However my mst's are an inch wider. They ride super smooth on hard pack. I would even dare say as good if not better than mud-lites. I would highly recommend them for trail and mud. This is what I do and they seem to work great in about everything except loose gravel (got a little squirrelly in a fast turn, but no bis suprise).

I wouldn't recommend dirt devils. I like the looks of them better than most any tire, but have yet to be impressed with their performance in the mud. I pushed a friend on a girzz with dd's the same size as my mst's backwards out of a mud hole with out hesitation where he just got stuck. They seem to be a good trail tire though.

589's have also been mentioned. These I can't say too much bad about. They wear like iron which also leads me to believe they ride like steel wheels. I haven't personally experiences with them, but from what I've heard they do ride a little rough. I do know the kick tale in a mud hole. They are one of the mud tires you can still ride on the trail w/o rattling your teeth out.

Someone also mention big horns. Are you serious? These are trail only tires.

Can't say much about the swamp lites or mud bug radials. The original bigs are supposed to be real good in the mud and no to shabby on the trail either. However I haven't had any personal experience with them.

If it were me I would go mst's or bugs. I got my mst's b/c I got a good deal. I almost bought bugs, but I couldn't find them cheap enough. They seem to be fairly equal from what I've read on high lifter forums.

Thanks Guys Thats What I Needed!,

Looks like MST's or Mud Bugs.

27 or 26 Is the next question
27" Swamplights, that is all you need. Excellent on trails and very dependable in the mud. Not for super muddin, but they are 6 ply, and plenty of tread for hard surfaces. These tires ride great on all surfaces, even asphalt.

i would go with 26 mst 27 bug
Go with 27" MST's. I have 26" on my wifes 350 Grizz and have no problems turning them. IMO they ride smoother than stock.
Get the MST,get about about a 26' tire.
