Skid plates...

1801 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  sHiNdIg
I have already fabricated a set of stainless steel chassis skid plates for my 06 foreman 500. Has anyone made a set of A-arm plates? Have any pics and/or measurements?

I would like to know where to mount them properly. Use the same points to mount as the stockers or use U-bolts?

How about a swing arm skid plate?

Nice work, I would be worried about those bolt heads hitting stuff, and getting all mangles up, what about using a flush mount bolt, or using an allen head bolt?

I was thinking about counter sinking them but it was cheaper to by a meter of threaded rod and a couple dozen nuts. Even if the do take a beatin it shouldn't be too much trouble to remove them if need be and i can replace them with new when I put em back.
how much would you fabricate me one for?

Haha... sorry I don't think I'll be going into production anytime soon and if I had to charge you for the amount of time that I put into that and the material, you'd just laugh at me anyhow..
