I have a 03 Ruby and it has been nothing but great. 6000+ miles on it. I just recently was hearing some strange noise from the tranny (or what I thought it was the tranny), so I took it in and it turns out that it was towed out like 2" (pretty crazy winter...lol) and it was putting alot of tension on the drive shaft. fixed it and its all good. I'd have to say go for it! Its a great bike.

i have alot go bad on my rubicon and here are the major things that went bad, i am on my second tranny, third ECM,fourth angle sencer, and second oil pump. the tranny failed because the oil pump was not pumping enough oil to it so i had to replace all of that and none of that was my falt. for the ECM's i still dont really know why them all went bad, but the honda dealer said that it was no way my falt eather. the angle sencers were the same deal and the dealer said that it was hondas falt. i know that one went bad because of a new style honda tryed and the new style was junk. there is my experence with my rubocon if there is any questions about any of this let me know.

edl's do not come in 27" but you might have a little rubbing problem any way (atleast i did), a lift kit or even a fender kit would fix that. if you are interested in a lift i have a 1.5" one for sale for $40.00 and it is all custom made (myers4712 can tell you about my good craftmanship )

Mad mudder's lift kit I think would be well worth the money.
