As long as the steel bushing is not cracked or worn to thin, I wouldn't about it. Just make sure you tighten the shocks bolts real good and they shouldn't move around at all. Also dont forget to grease them up to eliminate them from squeaking
my dad ,they were very scary bought the tool after 3 times and had no more pull tiesmy friend works at bellsouth andgot me 4 large HD pull ties, very large. i used them like a spring compressor and then cut them off when i was done.
