There is no adjustment for the shifter ..The gearshift master arm works as a stopper so it can't move farther unless something is worn or broken .. If the gearshift were to move much farther than normal the ball on the gearshift arm would come out of the hole in the sub gearshift spindle then the shifter would just flop up & down and you'd have no gears at all it would be in whatever gear it was in when it popped out ..
