Well, it looks like it's the Hondamatic that crapped out.
The ATV is at my parents' cottage and I haven't been able to go there for the past few weeks to troubleshoot the problem.
My dad got impatient and brought it to a mechanic who claims the hondamatic needs to be replaced and costs $1650.
Do I have any other options? Is there a rebuild kit?

Tough luck for me..... I bought the ATV hoping that it was only the oil pump chain that jumped off the sproket. In the end, the oil pump (which I already changed) and the hondamatic need to be replaced.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... i think you are SOL....:wacko: i dont think those are repairable..... thats one of the things bad about the rubi..cant work on the trannys.. (but i could be wrong)
