Rubicon or Foreman

Which machine would be better for 50% trail and mud and 50% work. I know that the foreman has more power, but the auto feature of the Rubicon is nice also. I would like to hear from both owners. I'll post this on the Foreman site also.

the rubicon has a bigger motor, it has a 499 and the foreman has a 475. not enough to even pay atention to but i thought i would tell you. i had a 03 rubicon, all modded out and everything. it was a really nice bike but IMO the auto tranny was not great at all. some people like it, some people hate it. the tranny went out on me at about 4200 miles, thats alot of miles but i rode every day. it was a good work bike and it still had enough power to play around with if you wanted to. i will never buy another auto honda, if i would buy one as of right now i would go with a manual one, 100% positive i would. im sure you get alot of replys on this topic.

foreman all the way we had a rubicon and my foreman did ever thing that rubicon did. a foreman does not have low range but 1st gear is low enough.
kybmu,Aren't you the person who was complaining about a Rubicon not having enough power? If so,then why are you even posting this question?Just get a Foreman S.
A Rubicon is a Cadillac compared to the Foreman S. And the Rubicon torques more.

More torque......Oh Pleaseeeeeeee. You can't be serious. That bike has the torque of a 400 at best...
you just keep believing that.
i got the 05 rubicon and my dad has 05 foreman. they are both good bikes but the rubicon is just a little faster and with it's low range it can out pull a foreman. the only bad thing about rubicon is if you mud ride it tends to get hot because the radiator gets dirty

This isn't true. You maybe correct about the dirty rad thing, but for pulling power, the Rubicon is no match for the foreman.
if you know all of your answers then why so many quesitons
my friend has Foreman 500, i have 2004 Rubicon , my bike is faster but he can pull me all over the place in low. On long rides his bike(Foreman)gets real hot ,we have to stop allot so his bike can cool. my bike is more of a trail bike, his for working. honda needs to do something about the placement of the rad. If i go through some mud holes my rad will plug up , then its to hard to clean on the trail.
there is no way a foreman can out pull the rubicon in low range if both bikes are stock the first gear on the rubicon low range is lower than the foreman's first gear
ya a foreman and rubicon are quiet =
OK, this weekend is the long-weekend in Canada, I'm going up north riding with some friends. My friend with the foreman 500 is going to be there, he weighs about the same as me, both bikes weigh about the same. I'll hook a pull-strap up to our hitches, put the bikes in low and see who pulls who.

kybmu, as the others stated you seem to hate hondas, especially the rubicon, so why keep posting these questions on here if you already know your distaste for them? I think you just want to argue and piss people off,go waste your time elsewhere.

Do that my friend. I would be very interested with what you find. Post when you get the results.

No...I really like hondas. i just would like to see Honda do what Honda does best. That is make a product that would make the ATV's world's jaw drop. I know they can... They have the deepest pockets of any of the ATV manufactures. They make the best cars, generators, small engine, motor cycles, and lawnmowers. Why not blow the compatitions away?
Having a pulling contest between the two will prove nothing. Which ever gets more traction will win. They both have enough to spin all four wheels so whoever gets the traction will win. I would't do that with the Rubicon becasue if it gets to jumping you may damage the tranny.
