here ya go
looks a lil fishy
haha, i didnt try to hard, I will admit.
swingarm

It shouldn't be too hard to lengthen a swing arm for when a lift is done, to keep the tires from rubbing the fender,,
1)how much is a longer driveshaft to buy.
2)how much longer would the swingarm need to be.
I could buy one and lengthen it , then swap it out and have a spare if somebody wants one done.
Of course trouble would want hers done too, and make it look like stock so that the honda man won't notice a difference.

That is exactly what I plan to do Dr. The parts from Honda are pretty cheap too....swingarm is 187 and the drive shaft is 37 I think. Porbably gonna lengthen it all 2 inches.
rear end

I looked at the swingarm, and there looks like there is a place to cut on each side that would be easy to make 2 inches longer,, i already have the tig setup and cut off saw,, probly have the metal too.
we just need to find a swingarm on ebay, and put our minds together.
does the driveshaft come from honda 2" longer? or does that have to be ordered from somewhere. It would be tough to cut and make it true ourselves.
I was thinking of cutting the driveshaft, and splicing it with chromoly tubing, overlapping each cut end. Or I can get a custom one made for 250.
drive shaft

as long as there are no bearings that have to be pressed on that would interfere with a sleave it would work fine..I havent had one apart to know.
the shaft doesn't have a taper or anything?
find out what other models use the same swingarm, there is an atv graveyard that i know of,, we may be able to get one cheap.
OK, I will look into it.
The Rubicon swingarm fits Rubicon's only ..drive shaft is Rubicon also ..
so you'd have to buy the parts off a Rubicon.. the drive shaft is approx. 1" and the swingarm tube is approx 1 1/2" inside .. I'm not sure if the cables would reach 2 more inches but it's possible ... What about the front ..?
shouldnt have to do much to the front other then the normal lift kit. I wouldnt really do the swing arm to gain the height, but rather to put the taller tire in the correct location, instead of pushed towards the front of the bike, where you would have to trim the fender/foot rest area.
Robb- can never be happy with what you have ha? always looking for the upgrade! how about you upgrading that ghetto trailer of yours first, so you can ride your current bike?
front end

I was thinking of doing this on a foreman,, the front a arms would have to be built from scratch to make them longer.. but once you set up a jig, they would go together pretty quick. theres not much to them.
Unless honda in there infinite wisdom used some wierd tubing size that is not available.

Well I would if I didnt have another big trailer to use if I absolutley had to, but the main reason, I plan to trade in the Tahoe soon and get a pickup so I dont have to use that ghetto thing anymore. Harbor Freight trailers - you get what you pay for, thats for sure
EMPLOYEE PRICING
someone from Highlifter sent me this pic of one crazy Rubicon
sweet i want to do that
looks like it's squatting with legs out ready to attack something
We'll here is one....it's not 29.5's but I think that this is what you are looking for....20 inches of GC...
