Rod Problems

Well I have had some problems with my bike. I'm rebuilding my top end and when I took my wristpin off I noticed that my rod was scuffed up alittle on the inside. I was just wondering if this would cause a major problem?

Well I sanded the rough spots on my rod down and put everything back togather. I seems to be working fine.

where was it scuffed up?

On the the inside of the rod. Right in the middle. But after I sanded it and but it back together she runs fine. (So far, knock on wood)
