the foreman will handle the mud better but the rincon is by far the best trail machine, it just depend on how deep the mud is and how big of a tire you want to run.
Rincon or Foreman?
Hello, I currently have a stock 04, foreman ES except for 26 inch mudlight radials. I have in mind to buy a Rincon 680. I do trail riding mostly with some mud involved but nothing very tough, prefer to go around really big holes. My question to you guys is this, will the Rincon get bogged down with the bigger tires and will I get left behind for my son to laugh at or will the Rinny be able to handle the slop?.

Get the Rincon for sure. Fact is, the Rincon has IRS, which is what you want for the mud vs. SRA with no ground clearance. The Rincon will turn any tire 27" or smaller in every situation bone stock. It is by far the best trail machine available right now. The Foreman is a gutless pig compared to the Rincon when it comes to seat of the pants power and fun factor. I have 2 350 Honda's here at my house, and I ride with a couple of 450 Foreman's. The SRA sucks, plain and simple, its pointless to put in on an ATV other than using it on a farm for work, **** I own a farm and I still prefer the Rincon. It is by far superior.
the rincon will not turn a 27" tire with ease when it is bone stock, my buddy has a 650 with 26" Mudlites and it has a hard time turning them in thick mud and bog, my foreman has 27"s and i can turn them no problem in anything.
I have a 03 Rincon with 27' Gators and it spins the tires no problem in any mud im in...

i know when my buddy bought the bike the honda dealer even told us that they have had several people complain about not being able to spin the tires in thick mud, maybe the mud in alberta is thicker than where you guys are.
I highly doubt it, I've had mine in peanut butter mud.
Honda must have made about 2 Rincons that can't turn anything other than stock tires, or ITP mades some lead 26" lites. I know of one other person that can't turn 26"lites on a Rincon.

thats wierd must of just been a few bikes that can't do it then, i know the 680 doesn't have a problem so maybe the carb is off a bit, anyways he ordered a dynatek module for it an hmf pipe plus the k&n filter and dyno jet kit, he already has the module jet kit and filter in it and it made a **** of a difference, he can almost cat walk in second gear of the line, i think once he puts the pipe on it it shouldn't have a problem.
Yeah theres something wrong with it, I can almost cat walk it in 3rd, 2nd is too easy. I smoke the tires on pavement without touching the brake etc. lol

you don't have a rincon, you have a 800 outlander, rincons don't have the power to do anything your saying bone stock, prove it and lets see a vid, i work at a honda dealer and you have to stand on the back rack of a fi rincon to wheelie easy, and if your standing on the rack it doesn't count as a wheelie either thats for *****'s that don't know how to ride

For the moment I will wait, give the Rincon another year maybe, or if I meet people on the trails that have one I will be sure to question them. It is an expensive machine and I want to be sure before I spend hard earned $$$$. Since most of you are from Alberta that responded to my ? Where are you guys going for the May long weekend? Were going to Nordegg area or Cadomin.

never been to cadomin but i hear it is good riding, lots of trails, might try there july long weekend.

exactly. My Rinny was stock for about 700kms, and I'm at 3600kms now. Only problem was a ripped CV boot, wouldn't trade it for anything.

I can't get over how small myy poor little Rinny looks in that picture! I should have gotten my 240lbs ass off it so it would tower over the foreman.
