hi guys ray here i have 05 rincon 650 its seems to have lost power like it wont rev all the way even with throtle all way. it only goes 28 mph i knows its not a tranny problem it only does it sometimes now its stuck doing it could a bad bad battery do this? its has 27s snorkel rad relocate jetted 2 inch lift 5000 pound winch please help thanks

a friend of mines 450 had a problem this past summer, that he could only go half throttle if he put the throttle all the way it sputterd and chugged and died sometimes, it was real gutless a significant loss of power, and after trying everything(looking for carb ussues, exhaust problems, and pinched fuel lines, new spark plug,clean the air filter, you can try these things too.) it turned out to be a ignition coil, if any of your symptoms match these it could be a place to start.

i checked all 31 pages nobody with the same problem. also has k&n filter aluminum axle guards and skid plate. low miles like 100 hours not sure will post exact tom. oil changed regularly

never died gonna check spark arrestor n mufler tom. any way to test that coil

we were just lucky enuff to have a parts bike sitting there man, i dont know how you could test it otherwise.

back before it would do it one day then not the next thanks for the help though ill let you know soon as possible. do think a bad cell in battery could cause this? battery was pretty dry i re filled it and its starts fine runs winch n everything

when did it first start ? all of a sudden , after riding in water ?????
have you looked for a cracked sparkplug ?

thanks for the welcome,it started outta no where 2 weeks after new winch,but i did put through a lil water {not past shin} couple weeks before also forgot mention it was bogging in reverse i charged batery it stoped

make sure that the brake handles are all the way foword (if it has the option of starting in gear and the handle isnt all the way foward it will spit and sputter in reverse )
also drain the bowl on the carb you may have sucked some water in the carb if the 1 way check valve is bad .....

Welcome to the forum. Do as rich suggested and report back. It can be fuel/air related, electrical or mechanical. We need to narrow it down to make some good suggestions.

yeah but my buddy that had the bad ignition coil, his bike would start and run fine to, and if you didnt touch the throttle or if you put it on half way there was no problem at all, you couldnt hear a problem at all, his winch worked, lights worked, elec start worked, its once he got up over half throttle that the problems would kick in,

I'm outta town right now on work I had a buddy check the oil he said it was low its never drunk oil like that could low oil Cause this? As soon as I get in off this emergency calli will post results

New to the forum.
I had the same thing happening last night so I logged in to see if anyone had an answer.
Pulled the top off the carb and found a tear in the diaphragm, used superglue as a temp fix and it is back to full power immediately.
Found gas coming out of the drain tube from the carb, the one coming out the bottom, figured it had to be fuel/air mixture.
Just my two cents, hope this helps.

Could have bad gas or the carb could be dirty. I had that problem and i did a little adjusting of the cables and stuff and i added seafoam to my gas can (heavy duty mixture of 2 ounces per gallon for the first 5 gallons and then nxt can fill up i put 1 ounce per gallon to keep it cleaning) mines been running good since.
