I have a 650 rincon and it seemes to loose drive power sometimes when moving. The motor stays at a constant RPM but the bike slows. The bike is completely stock except for ITP Mudlite tires that are stock size. Any answers?

Thanks

Does it have the correct amount of oil in the engine? The tranny in these bikes are very sensitive about the oil level. Check the oil with the dipstick not screwed in it should be slightly over the full mark about 1/8". This might not be the problem but its a place to start!

That is exactly what I thought as well. I am planning on this week going and getting a filter and changing the oil and seeing if that helps. I was reading in the manual that the process to change the oil in this bike is pretty different than just drain and re-fill. I will do that this week and see if it gets any better. Has anyone else had this same problem?

Jack he front tires up about 1' or more while the oil drains you will get more oil out. When you go to fill it back up with oil I would start checking it after 3 quarts because all the oil doesn't always drain out and you will over fill it like I have done. I know it will be aggravating starting the bike let it run 5 mins then turn off and check oil after 2-3 mins several times before it is full but thats part of having a rincon! Make sure you use a correct oil for it and not regular motor oil. I use Honda GN4 oil!

It is a 2004 with around 2000 miles. The valves have not been adjusted that I know of. I did the test with a dollar bill around the muffler and the motor is's sucking air at all. The air filter is clean as well.

I checked the oil and it was a little low.. I added some oil and checked it the way you are supposed to and then ran it for just a little bit and it did not act up once. I hope it solved the problem. If there is anything else that I might check please inform me! Thanks!!!
