Reverse light turns on when in 5th gear

Hey y’all ,new member and owner of 2017 Honda rubicon DCT. I bought a 6inch light bar to use as automatic reverse light. I wired in my ground wire to the grey wire on gear position sensor (10 pin connector) I ran my positive wire directly to battery with a fuse. The light turns on when shifted to reverse, and turns off when in any gear EXCEPT when the bike is in 5th gear the light will turn back on. I’m not sure if anyone else has had this problem?? But any thoughts on why this could be?? Not sure if my gear position sensor could the culprit?? Or if I’m just not able to wire in an automatic reverse light on my model of ATV. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
