reverse help

also the other day when plowing the 4x4 light was blinking and the bike was cutting out . don't know if this has anything to do with it or not

Have you checked to see if the cable is froze up or maybe a rock holding the reverse lever from moving?

The cable hooks up to the reverse lever on the rear bottom of the engine. If you get on the right side of the bike and look under the pull rope assem. you will be able to see it or remove the skid plate and you can put your hands on it to see if it will move or not.

Check the reverse shift switch wire .. It's at the rear bottom beside the reverse lock-out cable/lever ... probably got loose and not making contact.

thanks everyone , it was a combination of ice and some branches stuck by the cable. did not allow it to move enough.
